SealBoss 4040 LV Hi-Mod Epoxy Resin
4040 LV Epoxy Injection Resin
4040 LV Epoxy Injection Resin is a 100% solids, high-modulus, two-component, moisture-tolerant, low-viscosity epoxy adhesive designed for structural repairs and crack injection in concrete, masonry, rock, wood, and similar materials. Suitable for gravity feed or pressure injection, it can be used on floors, ceilings, walls, foundations, and slabsโboth interior and exterior above-grade surfaces.
This product meets ASTM C-881 / AASHTO M-235:
Types I, IV | Class C | Grade 1
For professional use only.

Strong bonding even under pressure
Usage Guidelines
Mixing Instructions
This is a two-component system with a 2:1 mix ratio by volume. Mix only the amount that can be used within the working time. Do not modify or thin with solvents.
Crack Injection
Ideal for low- to medium-pressure injection into cracks and voids. Bonds strongly to concrete and wood, offering excellent tensile and compressive strength. Best results are achieved in dry conditions, though it can be used in damp environments. Surface cracks should be sealed with a suitable epoxy paste prior to injection. Use only approved two-component injection equipment.
Injection Port Spacing
Ports should be spaced between 4" (10 cm) and 12" (30 cm) depending on crack width and structural thickness.
Surface Preparation
-
Concrete: Surface must be clean, dry or damp (no standing water), and free from dust, oil, grease, and other contaminants. Use blast cleaning or equivalent mechanical preparation to achieve an open, textured surface.
-
Steel: Surface should be prepared to a bright, clean finish via sandblasting or similar methods.
Additional Notes
-
Minimum ambient and substrate temperature: 40ยฐF (4ยฐC)
-
Material is a vapor barrier once cured
-
Do not inject into cracks under hydrostatic pressure
-
For cracks wider than 1/4" (6 mm), consult technical guidance
-
Do not exceed a 2:1 ratio when mixing with additives such as sand or fillers
-
Color may vary due to UV exposure or lighting conditions
